Autism and opioid use disorder rejected as qualifying conditions
On Wednesday, June 8 the State Medical Board of Ohio voted to reject the petitions for autism spectrum disorder and opioid use disorder due to a lack of scientific evidence that supports the efficacy of medical marijuana for the two conditions. These conditions will not be added to Ohio’s Medical Marijuana Control Program at this time. The OPPA submitted a letter to the SMBO strongly opposing adding the two conditions to the list of qualifying conditions for treatment with medical marijuana.
