SMBO will again be reviewing austim spectrum disorder as a potential qualifying condition for medical marijuana

The State Medical Board of Ohio accepted two potential diagnoses as potential qualifying conditions for medical marijuana including: 1) female orgasmic difficulty and 2) autism spectrum disorder. Public comments are being accepted by the Board through Feb. 29. OPPA will again submit comments in opposition to adding ASD to the list of qualifying conditions.
The Board accepted these diagnoses for review as they met the legal requirement of the offer of potentially supportive scientific evidence, or for a previously rejected condition like Autism Spectrum Disorder, the offer of new potentially supportive scientific evidence.
Public comments are being accepted by the Board through February 29 and can be submitted here: MedicalMarijuana@med.ohio.gov.

The Board will then review comments and expert review reports over the spring and a decision on these qualifying conditions is expected this summer.
OPPA will again be submitting comments in opposition to adding autism spectrum disorder to the list of qualifying conditions as it has done several times in the past.
