Attend the OPPA Annual Psychiatric Update and learn from Danielle Johnson, MD, FAPA, as she talks about Perinatal Depression: Reviewing the Standard of Care and Exploring New Treatment Options.
An estimated one in seven women experience depression during or after birth but it is often undetected, untreated, or undertreated. This session will increase awareness of the screening tools, symptoms, and diagnosis of perinatal depression. The current standard of care, recent FDA approved medications for postpartum depression, and novel treatments will be discussed.
